What is the Club Championship?
The Club Championship is a lovely competition that provides all club members with the opportunity to take part in competitive
galas. The whole competition is run by the Club and is exclusive to Enderby Swimming Club members who are 7 years or over
by the 31st December.
The Championships consist of a series of friendly galas held over a number of Saturday/Sunday evenings. The swimmers warm
up from 6pm with the first heat starting at 6.30pm(ish). All swimmers are very well looked after poolside by the team managers,
who also ensure that each swimmer knows which heat they are in and where they need to be and when. The events for the youngest
of our members are run first, and once a swimmer has completed all of his/her races, they are free to leave if they wish.
No swimmer is expected to do anything that they feel they are unable to, for example, a swimmer who is not confident diving
from the starting block can choose to dive off the side or even start in the water.
As a competitive swimming club we feel it is important that swimmers take every opportunity to race. Application
